If anyone is busy, I know that I am. I don't claim to be an expert, but I do claim that over the years I have been able to enjoy each and every Christmas stress free. So, I am writing this article for everyone who finds that they are unorganized and feeling stressed at Christmas time. I want to help you get organized and stress free so that you can enjoy Christmas every year. So many of my friends and family have made me realize that the little things I do all year long have given me an advantage over the holiday rush and I am able to enjoy all that Christmas has to offer
.
Let's start with the basics.

1. Buy your Christmas cards and wrapping paper at the end of the Christmas season. That way you have these things on hand when you have the time to work on them. I send out over 150 cards a year (I use an address labeling program and update it each year, so I just have to hit the print button when I am ready to send out my cards), we give numerous gifts to family and friends and these things I have completed before Thanksgiving.

2. When you see a sale, buy your gifts and collectibles. This month alone I have bought sixteen gifts for next year. I have a year to wrap them and gift tag them. Focus on one or two families on your list each month, then check off their name when you have purchased their gift. Use lay away when you can and continue to add items as you take items off of lay away. As you take them home remember to wrap them and gift tag them, then store them. I have two shelves I dedicate to Christmas gifts for storage.

After Thanksgiving, I decorate the house with my Christmas decor. By December my tree is up, my presents are under the tree, my cards and gifts are mailed and I am relaxing. As a Christian I am now focusing on the true meaning of Christmas and busy directing our church Christmas programs, spending quality time with my family and loving each and every moment of giving, sharing and love of the season.
We received a great gift this year that anyone would love. Our Christmas dinner has been given to us and there is no cooking. Another day of relaxing, that's what I'm talking about.

Starting this Monday, my family is off for two weeks and we will start visiting family and friends, taking day trips to the snow and to the beach and just plain relaxing before the new year begins.

If I can do this, I know that each and everyone that reads this can do it also.

Merry Christmas everyone and enjoy your stress free holidays.

If this has helped you in any way, please let me know by leaving your comments.

Negative Thinking Versus Positive Thinking

My heart has compelled me to write down my feelings on the negative response we are hearing from the media and the political arena every day, every minute of the day. Why does news have to be bad all the time? It is so easy today to be negative and speak doom and gloom to everyone all of the time. Now it is being said that we live in an area that has the second highest rate of unemployment in the country. Businesses are closing their doors, schools are closing, the state is bankrupt. What about the good news? There are things happening everyday that deserve to be praised and honored. You never hear any of it, at least not on the news.

Having a Christian background, I have refused to be pulled in to all the negative garbage and choose to focus on all the positive things in my life. I choose to build up my faith in God and let His will be done in my life, not my will or mans will to take hold of my thoughts or feelings. Yes, I am being affected by what is going on in the world and yes my heart breaks for so many that have lost their jobs, homes, future and hope. I too have lost a job, income, medical benefits, retirement, etc. I choose to look at it as, a job is what I do and not who I am. I am so much more than any job I could have. God's word tells me, "My God shall supply all my needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus." He didn't say some of my needs, He said all of my needs. What a gift! That includes paying my mortgage payments, food, gas, bills, clothes, etc. Luke 12:22-23, says: He said to his disciples, "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat, or about your body, what you will wear. Life is more than food, and the body more than clothing."

This is the time to believe and build on your faith in the One who created you. I look at our daughter Faith and remember from where she came and where she received her name: Hebrews 11:1 "Now, faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen." You see, we were unable to have children and Faith is a gift from God to us. Yes, I am still concerned about her future and the impact that everything that is affecting her and her future, but I trust God and believe in Him to take care of her and my family.

Matthew 6:25-34 is a great scripture for Anxiety. I just want to quote Matthew 6:33-34 "But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."

I could give you so much more, like Death and Life is in the power of the tongue. You get what you speak.

If you have finished reading this article I want you to know that there is hope and we need to count our blessings of all the good in our lives and focus on these things. I feel so much better that I have put my feelings in print and have opened up my heart to you. It may seem like preaching, well what can I say, "I AM ONE."

God loves you and He will never leave you or forsake you! Just believe and keep your faith strong, pray and believe you receive when you pray.

The Inside Scoop on the Hottest Accessories for the Christian Biker, and How They're Bridging the Gap for Christ

Whether you're a member of Christian Biker Missionaries or just a dedicated believer who loves spending their days getting as close to nature as you can get cruising down the highway, nothing brings together your two greatest loves like the hot accessories available on the market for today's Christian biker. Why today's Christian biker? Because today's Christian is reaching out to people where they live. The gospel isn't confined to the inside of the church walls anymore, and by taking your own message of hope on the highway you can use your love of a great set of wheels to spread the word of God to places it's never gone before.

No, your extreme fashion sense isn't just confined to spreading the gospel-but isn't it cool when it works out that way? Today's top Christian designers have an entire line of patches designed exclusively for bikers that help spread the word while you're out on the highways. From simple statements like "Born Again" to messages of hope like "Every Saint has a past, Every Sinner has a future" the patches being made for today's Christian biker aren't the fire and brimstone of the past. They're a message of hope to a portion of the population sadly overlooked but rich with potential.

If patches aren't your style there's an entire line of religious jewelry geared specifically toward the Christian biker that goes beyond the traditional, dainty crosses that wouldn't survive five minutes out on the highway. Whether you're a fan of chain link silver, polished gold or contemporary Celtic, if you're looking for Christian biker wear chances are good you don't have to look any farther than your own front door.
For years the Christian biker community has been overlooked, tagged with the stereotype that all bikers are trouble in one form or another. Someone finally woke up and figured out that it just ain't so, and motorcycle fans everywhere are relishing the chance to combine their two greatest loves into one great mission for God.

Coincidentally, if you're serious about taking your mission of hope out on the highways and you haven't done so already you should take a look at Christian Biker Missionaries and consider taking part. CBM is a non-profit organization headquartered near what's known as the "motorcycle Mecca," Daytona Beach, Florida. Their mission is "to spread the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the biker community by placing volunteer, part-time and full-time biker missionaries into the field to bring hope to the highways." If you live nearby, consider contacting Christian Biker Missionaries and learning how you, as a dedicated Christian biker, can help spread the good news.

Live too far away from Florida to make the commute? Consider starting Christian biker missions in your own community! As CBM says, "Bikers will only hear and accept the Gospel from another brother or sister biker. This is where we stand in the gap for Christ." There are hundreds of people out there that don't know God the way you do. They're waiting for you to stand in the gap.

How to Pump Up Your Muscles and Flatten Your Abs with a Fitness E-book

When you're thinking about the ways to get fit and fabulous for summer, what's the first thing that comes to mind? The gym? The pool? Those $29.99 workout videos that every celebrity from the east coast to the west seems to have on the market right now? Whatever it happens to be, chances are good that it probably ISN'T a fitness e-book. But you'd be amazed at how effective a simple fitness e-book can be.

Why Do I Need to Work Out?

Let's start with the basics-why we need the resources that fitness e-books have to offer. We live in a society where thin is in. But being as thin as Kate Moss or Winona Ryder, or as buff as Sylvester Stallone in the original Rambo, shouldn't be your main incentive for trimming and toning up your body. Most of us are never going to be supermodel thin, or movie star buff, and you know what? That's not a bad thing!
As a matter of fact, if you ever got a good look at what those poor people have to eat day in and day out you'd be incredibly grateful for that five pounds. It's not pretty.

What you do need to worry about is staying healthy. Your body was made to function at optimal performance when you're carrying little extra fat and your muscles are toned and healthy. If you're 20 lbs. overweight or more your body probably isn't able to do that. In fact, carrying a lot of extra weight can be extremely hazardous to your health! Obesity can lead to high blood pressure and diabetes, among other things, and while a good diet is important, it's not going to be enough to keep you fighting fit. You're going to need to exercise too.

That's where a fitness e-book comes in.

What the Fitness E-book Can Do for You?

Just about any e-book you're going to download has three things going for it. It's convenient. It offers you the opportunity to develop your own workout plan. And you can enjoy complete and total anonymity while you're losing weight and getting fit.

After all, no one really wants to go to the gym when they look like they need to be there.

Unlike a workout video, which makes you repeat the same workout (or three) day after day, your fitness e-book lays out a series of strength training, balance and cardiovascular exercises from which you can develop your own exercise routine. It's going to rely strongly on your ability to use your own self discipline to establish a workout schedule and stick to it. A good guideline is to put in at least 30 minutes of cardiovascular exercise (running, jumping, swimming) interspersed with at least two days of strength training.

Your fitness e-book can help you establish and keep that schedule, and it won't be long before you're on your way to the non-Hollywood body you've always dreamed of.

How to Choose the Best Christian Gifts for the People You Love

It's important to find just the right gift for the people you love when their big days come around. Whether you're celebrating a birthday, an anniversary, a graduation or a housewarming, you want a present that's going to say exactly what you want to say, exactly when you want to say it. But finding that perfect gift isn't as easy as it sounds, especially when you're looking for the perfect Christian gifts in a very non-Christian society.

Fortunately, your choices for Christian gifts have long since gone beyond the traditional cross necklace or wall plaque! Here's a sneak peek at the hottest Christian gift ideas on the market today.

Jewelry

The classics never die! There's nothing like a trendy piece of contemporary or classical Christian jewelry to help you tell the world where you stand, and thanks to today's designers there are hundreds of options out there! You can choose today's traditional gold or silver cross necklace complete with a crown of thorns or a gilted rose, or you can go for something a little more sassy-for example, a gemstone rosary crafted from trendy hematite or an olive wood cross. Whatever their style there's a piece of trendy gold, silver, gemstone, wooden, leather or beaded faith jewelry waiting just for them.

**A word to the wise: Hematite is incredibly fragile, and while it makes a trendy complement for just about any outfit its fragility makes it a poor gift for children.**

Christian T Shirts

Really, is there anything more fun than walking down the street and having people stop to read your t shirt? Today's Christian t shirts are giving them something to read about! From powerful messages of love and faith to fun little quips ("I Pray," created out of the eBay logo, made a splash on the market not too long ago), Christian t shirts make a great gift for the person who loves to hang out in comfort and style while standing in the silence as a testament to God's power.

Holy Land Gifts

Pastor Sherman Davis once stated that the people of Israel were the only ones to have ever had a country, an entire country, promised to them by God. As god's chosen people they're going to have the opportunity to reclaim their homeland, and what could be cooler than sharing a piece of that homeland with someone you love? People travel from all over the world to see Israel, and now pieces of Israel are traveling all over the world to create fantastic Holy Land gifts.

Share holy water, anointing oils, incense and olive wood carvings with your friends and family in the Christian and Jewish communities. Remember that Dead Sea soap you saw on sale at the mall? There actually is a line of Dead Sea beauty products created straight from the Holy Land, and they make a great gift for any age.

Christian Sneakers

You've heard of shoes making a statement, but what about making a statement with your shoes? Courtesy of some savvy designers who realized that sneakers could do a whole lot more than just keep your feet warm there are trendy Christian shoes cheerfully emblazoned with the word of God just waiting for the chance to be let loose. And they're comfortable too! If you've got a friend who would love the opportunity to literally walk in the word of God this is exactly the gift you've been looking for.

With today's hottest fashions and coolest accessories shopping for trendy Christian gifts isn't so hard after all.

Even if Your Marriage is Broken, Christian Marriage Books Can Help You Pick Up the Pieces

How physically fit is your marriage? Getting married is easy, but keeping a marriage going is hard work-especially when we've got Hollywood out there spreading stories about love, romance and happily ever after and conveniently forgetting to mention what happens when the prince gets Cinderella back to the castle! The illusions Hollywood and the booming romance industry sell are destroying today's marriages, causing divorce rates to climb higher than they have in years. If you're looking for a way to save your marriage before it ends up on the courtroom floor but aren't sure how to do it, don't look to the media. Today's Christian marriage books have all the information you need to start picking up the pieces and getting your relationship back on the straight and narrow.

The house built on the sand is going to fall apart the first time a storm rolls in. What's your home built on? Is your relationship with your husband or wife built on the solid rock of Jesus and a shared faith, and the solid conviction that the two of you were going to help your marriage grow, or did you marry full of dreams of love and happily ever after only to be brutally disappointed when you started fighting about money or whose turn it was to do the dishes?

The first thing today's Christian marriage books are going to help you do is break your marriage down to the basics-because really, what matters most? You can sell your house. You can always get another job. (Yes, even in today's economy there are options available, we promise!) Even your children are going to grow up and move away. Your relationship with your spouse, and your relationship with the Lord, are and should be at the center of your life. Once you understand that, and realize that the rest is only window dressing, you can get down to the heart of your marital problems and start putting things back together.

What sets Christian marriage books apart from the millions of other self help books and ebooks out there is that they're based not on pop psychology (or even regular psychology!) but on the word of God. Freud, the father of modern psychology, lived at the end of the 19th century-less than 200 years ago. That means that today's marriage counselors and psychologists are basing their advice and their recommendations for your marriage on theories that have only been around for a few hundred years. If you really want to turn your marriage around you need to look to advice that has truly stood the test of time.

The Bible and its teachings have been laying the foundation for successful marriages since the beginning of time. Isn't that the kind of solidity that your marriage deserves?

If your marriage has hit some rough times and you're struggling to find your way out, relax. There's help out there. Pray about it, then browse the huge selection of Christian marriage books and ebooks available on the market. Find the one that speaks to your heart. We learn that it's okay to stand on our own. We learn that real people can juggle family, jobs, bills and friends while simultaneously going to school and starting our own Internet business, and they do it without ever dropping the ball. We learn that the best type of person is one who's always there for their friends and never asks for anything in return.

Is it any wonder so many of us live on coffee and stress? Superman couldn't live up to these expectations! Nobody wants to be a martyr, but with people pushing on us from every direction it's hard to know which way to turn. If this sounds like you, there's no shame in reaching out to a self help e-book.

To paraphrase a popular teenage television show, sometimes the most grown-up thing we can do is ask for help. Ideally we'd feel free to reach out to our friends and family for that help, borrowing an extra set of hands to juggle household chores and responsibilities while we wear the many hats we're expected to wear. We can turn to professionals for help with depression and psychoses, and nothing beats getting down on your knees and asking the Lord for guidance.
.
And we can reach for the many self help e-books designed specifically for Christians to help us get our feet back on the straight and narrow and find the path that we've lost.

What can self help e-books do that friends and family (and your neighborhood psychiatrist) can't? They can offer you the anonymity you need to find your path. Many times when we're floundering we refuse to turn to our friends and neighbors because we don't want to be a burden. More importantly, we don't want to appear weak.

When you pick up a self help e-book, nobody's judging you. You have the voice of a professional in your ear carefully walking you through the steps of your problem and what solutions are available to you. They can offer guidance and direct you to places in the Bible where you can go for spiritual strength when you continue to struggle-and you will continue to struggle until the heart of the issue is resolved. The important thing is that self help e-books can help you take the first step on your journey of a thousand miles that you might not have had the courage to take otherwise.

If you have a problem in your life, seek help from the ones that love you and from the great Physician. Nothing replaces building your network of friends and going to the lord on your knees. Just remember, there's no shame in reaching out to the self help e-books out there to give you the strength you need to start looking for the answers you desperately need to find.

Let a Christian Sex E-book Teach You Everything You Ever Wanted to Know, but Never Wanted to Ask

As Christian’s we're taught (and firmly believe) that sex is something that should only be shared between a husband and a wife in their marriage bed. What we're never taught is what we're supposed to do once we get there! Sex is a beautiful thing that we're meant to enjoy, but even in the most loving marriage sex can grow stale over time. It pays to know how to pleasure your partner, but most of the sex books available on the contemporary market involve enough unspeakables that you're almost embarrassed to look!

Find your answers in a Christian sex e-book.

Often within the church a sort of taboo develops when it comes to discussing sex. Many couples have questions, but they're scared and embarrassed to go to their fellow parishioners and don't feel comfortable perusing literature like the Kama Sutra or the pornographic literature that passes for educational books in many bookstores. So where are young couples supposed to turn to find the answers they're looking for?

By investing in a Christian sex e-book you will be assured that you're reading a tasteful piece of literature that was designed with the married couple in mind and adheres strictly to the guidelines of what the Lord states is acceptable between a man and woman. This gives you the chance to quietly and anonymously learn everything you've ever wanted to know about how to please your partner, how to make the transition from friends to lovers as smooth as possible and how to keep the spice in your marriage bed, whether you've been married for five years or fifty
.
The Lord made our bodies to enjoy sex, and when a man and a woman enter into the marriage covenant the possibilities that presents itself are amazing and not just for their potential to bring children into the world either! While children are a gift, the first gift you and your spouse bring to your marriage bed is each other. It's important that you learn to love and enjoy each other, and a Christian sex e-book can help you do that without exposing you to pictures, ideas and suggestions that no one was ever meant to see.

The bottom line? Don't be afraid to ask your questions. The answers you find might just surprise you. There's nothing wrong with wanting a little spice in your sex life. It's good for you and your spouse, satisfying both your emotional and physical needs and keeping both of your eyes firmly where they belong; on each other.

How Christian E-books Can Reach Your Teenager When Nothing Else Will

Do you remember your own tumultuous teenage years? As parents it's easy for us to slip on the mantle of responsibility and forget that once upon a time we were just as scared, confused and rebellious as our own teens were. That's why Christian e-books have the ability to reach out to our teens when we feel like we ourselves have failed as parents.

The first thing you have to understand before you begin your journey to reconnect with your teen is that you are not a bad parent. Today's teens live in troubled times, with loose morals and a tremendous amount of pressure to be adults far too young. We have babies having babies, and teens are expected to make life altering decisions and plot their course for the rest of their lives at the age of fourteen and fifteen.

Somewhere in all this pressure we expect our teenagers to be easy going, well adjusted individuals. Some teenagers are. Most of them aren't. Regardless of how rebellious your teen may be, or how frustrated you may be with them, just remember-you're not the first parent to be in this situation, and you certainly aren't going to be the last. If you're going to reconnect with your teen, both personally and by studying the many Christian e-books designed for teens on the market today, you're going to have to set aside the guilt and the blame for both of you first.

If you've tried reaching out to your teen and they're not responding, take a look online at the many Christian e-books available on the market. While not as conveniently portable as the traditional paperback, books published in digital form allow your teen to make more productive use of their time on their good friend Mr. Computer (who has begun to replace Ms. Telephone and Miss Text Messaging as most teen's late night communication method of choice) than they would surfing the web or chatting with their friends. And they're more likely to read it too!

Today's Christian e-books deal with the topics that are important to your teen in a manner they can relate to with a third party impartiality that allows them to absorb and make their own decisions without feeling as though they're being judged. If you were to walk up to them and tell them they're headed down a bad course…well, chances are you already know how that's going to end! A good Christian e-book can gently but firmly introduce them to what the Bible has to say about love, sex, dating, drugs, school, family, extracurricular activities and growing up without making them feel pressured, and without that pressure they'll be free to make the good decisions that you've wanted for them all along.

That doesn't mean you shouldn't talk to your teen. Studies show that nothing replaces the influence of a parent in a child's life, even if they don't always show it during their teenage years. But offering them the opportunity to study and learn from the vast pool of knowledge offered by today's Christian e-books can go a long way toward helping pave the way through the teenage angst to a brighter, better tomorrow.

How to Choose Trendy Christian Gifts for Your Teen

Honestly, is there anyone harder to shop for than a teenager? Caught up in the life and death drama that always accompanies those teenage years, coupled with the stress of attempting to define themselves as both individuals and Christians, today's teens are under a lot of pressure. It's important to find a gift for them that will help them become the men and women of God they're going to be.

Don't flinch, it's not that bad! With the wide variety of Christian gifts available on the market today that's not as hard as it sounds!
Even if your teen doesn't go to a private school, chances are they've still got a standard uniform they wear when they're with their friends. The ever popular t shirt and jeans is a fail proof ensemble for most of today's teens, and with trendy Christian t shirts and babydoll tees you can let them keep their "hip" sense of fashion while still making a statement about what they believe! There's a whole line of Christian tees available for today's teenager, with such deep and meaningful messages as "Satan is a Nerd", "God Rules" and the ever popular, "God's Girl."

Not sure of their size? There are hundreds of options out there in the Christian Gifts department when it comes to picking out trendy Christian jewelry. Teens who scoffed at the thought of wearing Great Aunt Mary's traditional gold cross necklace will love the fun wooden and leather bracelets proudly proclaiming, "What Did Jesus Do?", and with a whole line of contemporary rosaries out on the market it's easy to find one that your praying but ever fashion conscious teen will be proud to carry with them. Earrings, bracelets, collars, anklets, rings…today's Christian jewelry designers have got it all, making it easy for you to find the perfect accessories for your teen.

What about a book? Contrary to popular belief, even in the face of the Internet, audio books and television today's teenagers do still know how to read! Christian books and e-books can make a fantastic gift for your teen, letting them share the heartaches and trials of young men and women just like them in the teenage years when mom and dad don't know anything and giving them something and someone to relate to. There are Christian books for teens on every subject under the sun, so no matter what your teen is struggling with there's a fun piece of literature designed especially for them.

If they're going to be blasting their music anyway, why not give them something worth blasting? There are many fantastic contemporary Christian rock and pop bands today, from well known voices like Avalon, DC Talk and the Newsboys (just play "Breakfast" for them once and watch their eyes light up!) to newcomers pureNRG and Hillsong United. Each of these bands takes the important messages of peace, hope, love and faith taught by the Bible and combines it with a trendy beat that's guaranteed to appeal to your tween or teen.

Imagine, music pounding out of their radio that you enjoy listening to along with them. Positive proof that with God miracles really do happen every day!

How Christian E-books Can Reach Your Teenager When Nothing Else Will

Do you remember your own tumultuous teenage years? There are even Christian movies! But Christian shoes? Every pair of shoes a Christian walks in is a pair of Christian shoes, because they're carrying inside them a blessing from God. But if you want to carry that blessing outside as well as inside, consider investing in your own pair of Christian sneakers!

What's the difference between Christian shoes and the ones you'd pick up at your local Payless? If you've been inside a shoe store recently you've seen the art that's jazzing up ordinary tennies made by big name designers like Airwalk. "Love, Peace and Understanding" is proudly airbrushed on their latest designs, and they're making a huge splash on the market with fashion conscious individuals who want their feet to make a statement! I love my "Savior...The Many Names of Jesus...," shoes.

There isn't a one of us who doesn't know the children's Sunday School song "Sermon in Shoes." If it wasn't part of your education, check it out! The resounding theme of the song, "Do you know, oh Christian, you're a sermon in shoes" can sound a little scary until you figure out what they're talking about. When you walk out into the community you're representing not only yourself but Christ and everything he stands for too. Being a Christian means doing a lot more than reading the Bible and praying. It's up to you to go out there and spread the good news!

It's a lot of fun to tell others about everything Christ has done for us, but if you suffer from a case of stage fright that leaves you tongue tied when the time comes to spread the good news (and even if you don't!) you can let your feet do the talking with a pair of genuine, certified Christian shoes. These trendy designs don't just look hip with your favorite jeans and Christian tee-shirts. They're proudly emblazoned with the words of Christ himself, carrying the good news with them every time they hit the streets!

Psalms 23:4: "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me."

John 3:16: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Philippians 4:13: "I can do everything through him who gives me strength."

This is love, peace and understanding, and a whole lot more! These Christian shoes are carrying a tremendous message with them, a message everyone should have the opportunity to hear.

What are your shoes saying?

Meet Artist, Teacher and Poet Akiane, the Child Prodigy with an Amazing Heart

In this world there are some people who struggle to find their way from a very young age. Most of us fall into that category. Every once in a while, however, someone comes along who has blessed by God with a gift, a soul that seems to see and know things beyond their years. This is the story of Akiane Kramarik, a young woman with an amazing gift.

"I teach and they run away," says young Akiane. "I listen and they come. My strength is my silence."

For a child of nine to understand the perfection to be found in silence is almost unheard of, but young Akiane has never been ordinary. Born July 9, 1994 in Mount Morris, Illinois to her Lithuanian mother and American father, at the age of three Akiane had a spiritual awakening that not only opened her eyes to the Lord but brought her family to God as well. Her mother was an Atheist, her father a former Catholic. Neither had exposed Akiane to the Bible, but at a young age she took her parents by surprise when she began to speak about the Lord.
"It all began to happen when she started to share her dreams and visions," says her mother, Forelli Kramarik. "It wasn't just art that was happening. Simultaneous with art was a spiritual awakening."

This was the year she began to draw, teaching herself the various intricacies of the artistic style she's affectionately dubbed "Akianism." Her artistic gifts would later spread into painting at the tender age of six.

Now, as a teenager, Akiane speaks four languages fluently (Lithuanian, Russian, English and Sign Language) and rises at four in the morning to work on the paintings inspired by her visions, dreams, personal observations, nature and God and the poetry she says often comes to her fully conceived.

Many children her age would use their gifts to their own advantage, paving the way to conceit and the eventual evolution of a teenaged diva. Despite, or perhaps because of, her success Akiane has continued to keep her eyes fixed firmly on the Lord. Her paintings are, she says, given to her by God in her dreams.

"I can hear His voice," says the young woman firmly. "His voice is quiet and beautiful."

Akiane hopes to use the proceeds of her paintings to help the needy children of Africa, Lithuania and many other third world countries.
"I really want to help needy people in Africa and other places, especially the Lithuanian people-the 'garbage children' is what they are called. They live in the garbage, and two and three year olds are being killed for the first place in the food line," she says. "Lithuania has the highest suicide rate in the world. They need help with food and medicine, and a free hospital. I really want to build a free hospital for them."
Akiane adds, "I have been blessed by God. And if I'm blessed there is one reason and one reason only, and that is to help others."
Akiane was recently featured on BlogTalk Radio, and her newest works can be found in the Elijah Seasons 2009 calendar and in galleries all over the world. As her talent and her relationship with God continue to grow the world waits with bated breath to find out what this amazing young woman will have to share next.

References
Akiane quotes found in "Akiane Kramarik: Dream Child", written by Mary Berryhill and published in Today's Christian. Wanted to let everyone know that our daughter's softball team has won the championship undefeated.

Yeah!

This has been a very busy time for us with all the practices and games this season. Our daughter's team "The Hawks" consisting of sixth, seventh and eighth graders came out champions.

There has been many challenges, especially the one game where the umpire turned out to be uncertified and couldn't make up her mind whether her first call as safe was really an out. Of course, the other team had a seventeen uncertified umpire making some really bad judgment calls. First she would say our girl was safe then the opposing coach would say no out and the umpire would change her mind.

Parents and coaches got into heated arguments and at one point we thought that there may be some fists flying, but they didn't. When it came time for that team to play our girls the last time there were two certified umpires scheduled to be on campus for the final game. Of course, that team forfeited the last game to be played against our team. I wonder why? Nay, we know why! Giving our girls an undefeated title.

Again Yeah! Go Hawks!
Remembering Mom on Mother's Day

Mother's Day I was constantly reminded of what I had lost this past year. My mother passed away in July and in the holidays to follow, (her birthday, Thanksgiving, my birthday in December, Christmas and now Mother's Day), grief is a very hard process to deal with. Yet, once again I face another hard day ahead on Mother's Day without my Mom. I miss her very much!

I truly love being a Mom. I will still enjoy the day, but my Mom will be on my mind and in my heart, just as she has been always.

I somehow want to remind everyone to remember their mother on Mother's Day. One day you will be faced with those same hard days that I have faced this last year. Everyone has to leave this earth someday and we do not know the day or the hour. So, if your Mom is still celebrating your life with you, celebrate her on Mother's Day.
